In “Your Story” we celebrate the remarkable stories of everyday Americans from diverse backgrounds — in their own words — helping us to unite communities around a sense of pride in America and what makes America flourish.

Will Jones hosts an Atlanta-based news site, Apostolic Conservatives, a place for Christians to get their news in a format that is Biblical and Trustworthy.  The news site, which showcases perspectives that aren’t widely shared, was one of the early victims of Big Tech censorship in 2020.

“Broadcasting wasn’t something I planned. It began in 2020 when I saw the riots and unrest happening across the country. Watching young men who reminded me of myself when I was younger and lost, I felt called to act.

“At first, I simply went live on Facebook, sharing my thoughts about the chaos and the narrative being pushed by the mainstream media. I noticed strange things—like pallets of bricks in areas with no construction—and felt something wasn’t right. My broadcasts resonated, and viewership grew from there.

“At the time of the 2020 protest riots, I was still an over-the-road trucker, so I couldn’t physically be there to cover them on the ground. Instead, I gathered information during breaks and shared clips and insights on my livestreams. My audience steadily grew, but by October of that year, I noticed signs of shadow banning on Facebook as fewer people received notifications for my videos. It was disheartening. People who followed me regularly, like a woman from my church, told me they stopped receiving notifications.

It was the early days of censorship on social media, which we now know was widespread. These platforms have become modern-day town halls, but when voices are silenced, it undermines democracy and the ability to freely exchange ideas.

“My news sites’ logo includes the Bible verse Acts 2:38.  That verse is important to me because it encapsulates the message of salvation—repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, and receiving the Holy Spirit. It’s foundational to my faith and central to everything I do. My show is Christ-centered, and that verse reflects the eternal hope we hold on to, even while we work to preserve freedoms in this country.

“Earlier this year, I was in a serious car accident. I was hit head-on by a driver going the wrong way with no headlights on. Alcohol was found in his vehicle.

“The collision was devastating. My car was totaled, and I was trapped for about 45 minutes before being freed with the jaws of life. I sustained severe injuries, including a crushed pelvis, a blown-out hip socket, and a crushed left ankle. The doctors said it would take 18 months before I could walk again, but by God’s grace, I’ve made remarkable progress. I started physical therapy two months ago and was able to move from a walker to walking unaided within weeks.

“My faith has been my foundation and sustained me throughout this journey. Even when I was in pain and uncertainty, I felt God’s presence. A turning point came during a powerful church service when I felt strengthened enough to walk without my walker. It wasn’t an instant, complete healing, but it was a clear step forward, and I’ve been improving ever since.”
