Over 40 people attended Our America’sKeep More of What You Earn” mini town hall last Sunday in Atlanta, GA, where expert speakers provided strategies for navigating the cost of living crisis.

The event was open to Georgians from all walks of life, with attendees representing a wide range of ages and backgrounds.

An Incredible Crowd: Over 40 individuals attended our recent event in Atlanta, GA focused on the cost of living.

Our all-star speaker lineup included a variety of prominent public officials, state leaders, and candidates for office, including:

  • Rep. Mesha Mainor, Georgia School Superintendent Candidate
  • Clark Dean, Georgia Gubernatorial Candidate
  • Representative David Clark, U.S. Army Green Beret, Business Leader, and Georgia Lt. Gubernatorial Candidate
  • Jarrod Allen, Political Organizer with the Georgia House Caucus
  • Dr. Randell E. Trammell, Founder/President of the Center of Civic Engagement and Georgia School Superintendent Candidate

Our keynote speaker was Councilwoman Dr. Jamelle McKenzie of the College Park City Council, who reinforced the importance of tackling critical economic issues faced by everyday Americans.

Topics of discussion included creating economic stability, fostering upward mobility, civic education, workforce development, and entrepreneurship.

At Our America, we strongly support “unity in the community” as one of our core values and we believe in empowering individuals and families with the knowledge and resources to thrive.

This was truly a multicultural, multigenerational, and multicollar event bringing together diverse voices. 

Attendees shared a meal together and all left feeling more knowledgeable about this issue as they engaged in open discussion with their peers.

A special thank you to our Hometown Heroes Elvia Davila for the opening prayer, Clark Dean for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Kualanee Davis for the closing prayer.
