Our America recently hosted a “Keep More of What You Earn: Pump the Brakes on PA’s Gas Tax!” event in Upper Darby, PA.
Despite Pennsylvania being a major producer of natural gas, rising energy prices have left many families throughout the Keystone State struggling to pay their bills.
The event featured several local leaders who provided policy ideas for how we can address this issue.
A special focus was given to organizing advocacy efforts for HB 2144, a bill in the state legislature which would reduce the gas tax and provide much needed relief.

After the event, many of the attendees expressed an interest in getting more involved in Our America’s efforts, including future voter registration training and postcard-writing campaigns.
We’re excited to already be making an impact in such a critical state and look forward to organizing more events like this in Pennsylvania in the future.
