Hometown Heroes Attend Annual Prayer Walk at Arizona Capitol

Freedom of Thought

January 14, 2026

On Monday, January 12th, our activists in Arizona traveled to the Arizona State Capitol on the opening day of the state legislature for the Annual Prayer Walk.

Our activists chartered a bus which helped bring over thirty attendees, many of whom are Hometown Heroes, to this event. Over a dozen other attendees recruited by Our America also attended and arrived using their own means of transportation.

Our team worked with pastors Tom McClanahan and Eli Moreno, both Hometown Heroes, to help generate attendees.

Once at the Arizona Capitol, our activists joined 300 other attendees in praying for our state leaders and their good stewardship of our state as they begin the legislative session.

Below are some photos from the event.

As an organization, we support events like this as they unify our community and help us engage in a respectful manner with individuals who possess a wide variety of viewpoints.

Many thanks to the Center for Arizona Policy who organized the event, and who are an excellent partner for our activists in the state.
