DEVELOPMENT & OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

SUMMARY
Do you want to be a part of a new, fast-growing movement to engage people from all
backgrounds, ages, races, and ethnicities about those core values that unite all
Americans? Are you someone who relishes being at the center of the activity? If so, you
may be a good fit for Our America’s new Development & Operations Coordinator role.

Our America is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Development & Operations
Coordinator with 3-5 years of experience who will manage and perform a wide range of
development and operational support activities. The ideal candidate is someone who
relishes multi-tasking in support of overall fundraising and operational functions.

This position requires in-person attendance at our offices in Northern Virginia.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Development and Operations Coordinator assists Our America staff with daily duties and completes a broad variety of tasks, including:

  • Assisting with donor moves management, including composing and preparing
    correspondence and making telephone calls to donors and other stakeholders.
  • Calendar and schedule management.
  • Arranging and managing complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and
    agendas.
  • Donor database management.
  • Assisting with regular mailings (both physical and email) to major donors and prospects.
  • Receiving, managing, and recording all incoming donations.
  • Compiling donor research profiles.
  • Completing expense reports.
  • Meeting planning.
  • Payroll and leave management.
  • Board of Directors relations and maintenance.
  • Vendor coordination and outreach.
  • Office space management.
  • Ordering, inventorying, and managing fulfillment of educational and
    programmatic materials and office supplies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Exceptionally organized.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Solid writing skills.
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and exercise
    independent/sound judgment.
  • Project management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments
    concurrently.
  • Basic competency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other
    technology to include PC, printers, copiers, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, executive support, and/or
    development support required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships both internally and
    externally required.
  • Donor database management experience preferred (Virtuous, Salesforce,
    Raiser’s Edge, etc.)
  • Association experience or equivalent is a plus, but not required.

STATE GRASSROOTS DIRECTOR

SUMMARY
Do you want to be a part of a new, fast-growing movement to engage Americans from all backgrounds, ages, races, and ethnicities about those core values that unite all Americans? Our America is looking for an energetic, experienced individual who will build Our America’s grassroots presence in four key states. Our State Grassroots Directors must have in-person and digital grassroots experience and be able to work both as a member of a team as well as independently.

The ideal candidate is passionate about working toward a time in our country when supporting America is patriotic and not a political statement; when civil discourse replaces shouting; and when standing up for America is more important than standing against each other. We will accomplish our mission by building a broad, diverse coalition of people who support those timeless American values that empower everyone to thrive, including: equal opportunity, mutual respect, and freedom of expression.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Target events and audiences reflective of Our America’s brand and membership to introduce and educate citizens to Our America and its mission.
  • Identify, recruit, train, and deploy activists for legislative and political campaigns, as well as community service events, which align with Our America’s mission and principles.
  • Activities include, but are not limited to:
    • Identify, recruit, manage, and mobilize activists in your region
    • Identify “grasstops” leaders to build local volunteer chapters to engage in their communities
    • Building and managing legislative advocacy and political campaign grassroots operations, including GOTV
    • Hosting and attending local meetings of supporters
    • Turning out attendees to local government meetings
    • Attaining signers to letters in support of Our America’s policies
    • Identifying aligned organizations and coalition building
    • Event planning
    • Public speaking
    • Social media and database management
    • Utilization of campaign technology

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Three years of directly relevant work experience strongly preferred, but appropriate work experience may also be considered
  • Campaign and/or Association grassroots experience
  • We are hiring grassroots directors in the following states: Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. You must be based in one of these states in order to qualify for this role.
