Rachel Verdejo

Rachel Verdejo joined Our America as Development Director in November 2023. She brings more than 15 years of fundraising experience at nonprofit organizations, having raised over $40 million in support.

Prior to joining Our America, Rachel worked at Braver Angels for two years, first as Director of Foundation Relations and then as Chief Development Officer. Before that, she worked for 13 years at Philanthropy Roundtable in multiple fundraising roles.

Rachel is an expert in private foundation fundraising and specializes in grant proposal writing and managing development teams and systems. She graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania in 2008 with a B.A. in English and Communication Studies. After spending 10 years in Washington, D.C., she now lives in Orlando, Florida, with her husband and her very spoiled pets.
