Our Western Arizona Chapter Manager, Yendi Parker, recently authored an opinion piece in the Arizona Free News on an important citizen-led ballot initiative related to education.
The op-ed focuses on the Protect Education Act, which if enacted, would make it more difficult for parents to choose the educational environment that best suits the needs of their children.
As Parker argues in the op-ed, this move would be detrimental to students throughout the state.
“The Protect Education Act would move Arizona in the wrong direction. It would limit options, create new barriers, and make it harder for families like mine to access the educational opportunities our children need.”
We’re proud to see one of our top activists take a stand for an important issue within her community. You can read the full article here.
