Our activists in Arizona made an incredible impact at the Fresh Start Expo held on October 18th at the Tucson Convention Center.
Fresh Start International Director and Hometown Hero Tom Cortese was one of the main organizers, and OAF proudly served on the planning committee that helped shape the event’s programming.
Our participation paid off, as our activists signed up a record 58 Hometown Heroes at our recruiting table during the Expo.

At Our America Foundation (OAF), we believe in safer streets and stronger communities—but we also know that those who have served their time deserve a pathway to reintegrate and rebuild their lives.
OAF is proud to work with Fresh Start International, an organization that helps formerly incarcerated individuals gain skills, find job opportunities, and reconnect with their communities.
Our activists in Arizona have deepened their involvement with Fresh Start International over the past year, and this event was another step forward in the partnership.
We’re excited to see so many new individuals sign up to join the cause, and look forward to participating in more events like this in the future.
