A key part of building a broad coalition is working with liked-minded activists and organizations who share your values. Organizing your own events is important, but it’s also critical to work with other organizations and show support for their activities as well.
Throughout October, our activists in Arizona expanded our reach by attending multiple events across the state. This included the Pima County Precinct Committeemen Rally, the Southern Arizona Conservative Club Dinner, the Turning Point Action Latino Coalition Voter Registration, the Goldwater Institute Freedom Gala, and the Oro Valley Police Department National Night Out.
They also supported Turning Point Action by hosting a table at the TPA Take Back Pima Rally on October 21st at St. Philip’s Plaza in Tucson. Several hundred activists attended, including a strong showing of Hometown Heroes.

At every event we attend, more people learn about our organization and we recruit more Hometown Heroes to join the cause. Our activists in Arizona will continue to make their presence felt across the state, and we look forward to seeing them participate in more events next month!
