Arizona Activists Attend Multiple Events and Set Recruitment Record in January

Safer Streets, Brighter Futures

February 2, 2026

Our Arizona activists are first in class, and last month continued on their stellar work in 2025 by participating in a number of events throughout the state.

Things started early in the month after our activists helped recruit over thirty individuals to attend the Annual Prayer Walk at the Arizona State Capitol. On January 13th, several of our activists also participated in the Arizona Free Enterprise Club’s Legislative Kick Off 2026 event.

While attending events is always a great experience, nothing happens without organizing. On January 15th our Tucson chapter held their committee meeting, and several of our activists attended a meeting with the Arizona Liberty Network, of which OAF is an official coalition partner.

On January 16th, our activists tabled at the Arizona Turning Point Action Faith Coalition event, where our State Director Paul Parisi also gave a brief talk about OAF.

On January 24th, our activists hosted a table at the National School Choice Week School Fair, where they recruited a record 40 new Hometown Heroes. Over 54 schools and organizations participated along with over 1,000 parents and families. At OAF, we firmly believe that every child should have access to the education that best fits their needs, and we were proud to participate in this important event.

We ended the month strong, as our Hometown Heroes had a strong showing at Blessing Breakfast for First Responders on January 30th, where our longtime friend and ally Rep. Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ-6) was the keynote speaker. State Director Paul Parisi was also recognized for his role as the founder of this event 13 years ago, and his efforts leading it for a decade.

All of these events and activities are helping to grow our cause in Arizona. They strengthen bonds with allies, increase our visibility, and bring new recruits into the cause. Credit to our Arizona activists who are a model for what we’re trying to build nationwide.
