Crime and Public Safety
Safer streets start with law enforcement that cares about the communities they serve and have the tools and funding to do its job. Biggs understands this which is why he advanced the Monitor Accountability Act through the House, introduced the Make D.C. Safe Again Act, and pushed the CSAFE Act to create federal penalties for coercing children into abusive acts.
As chair of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance, he has called for fully funding public-safety departments rather than cutting their resources. A legislator who fights to fund police instead of defund them is a legislator who understands that public safety is the foundation everything else in a family’s life is built on.
Freedom of Speech
Arizonans should be able to speak their minds without a government agency deciding what’s allowed. Biggs will fight government efforts to regulate speech and content, defending the principle that citizens, not bureaucrats, decide what ideas are worth hearing. A legislator who resists government control over what citizens can say is a legislator who trusts citizens to think for themselves.
Freedom of Religion
Faith and conscience shouldn’t bend to government pressure. Biggs treats religious liberty as a foundational constitutional right, opposing government actions he views as restricting religious exercise, and has extended that fight internationally through his work with the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. A legislator who defends conscience at home and abroad is a legislator who understands that freedom of belief is the freedom everything else depends on.
Cost of Living and the Economy
Lower taxes and less regulation mean families keep more of what they earn. Biggs has backed reduced federal spending and increased domestic energy production as the path to bringing costs down. As a candidate for Arizona Governor, he has proposed eliminating the state income tax incrementally, expanding affordable energy and housing supply, and cutting government waste, changes aimed directly at Arizona’s cost of living. A legislator who pushes to shrink what the government takes is a legislator who understands that the money in a family’s pocket does more than in the government coffers.
Voter ID and Election Integrity
Elections only work if Arizonans can trust the results. Biggs has supported photo ID requirements that ensure Citizens can vote and protect state authority over how elections are run. A legislator who insists on ballot integrity is a legislator who understands that trust in the outcome matters as much as the outcome itself.
